Grading System
Teachers use a variety of indicators to assess student performance. Some of the more measurable indicators include: homework and classwork assignments, tests and quizzes, participation, projects or term papers, quarter and semester exams. Each department has grading policies that teachers will use in calculating quarter grades. These policies are explained to the students and parents in the course syllabus provided at the beginning of the semester. Parents should be aware that each student will have an average of two hours of homework each night. This will include written work, reading and studying.
